Support Businesses
Super Shredders
Super Shredders, a division of Barbara Olson Center of Hope, is an off-site confidential document destruction service. Businesses produce extraordinary amounts of paper documents that are often thought of as “just trash”. We are in business to prevent the very real threat of identity theft, loss of business confidentiality, and investigator “dumpster diving”. Super Shredders will pick up and securely transport your documents to our facility at the Barbara Olson Center of Hope.
Shredding of sensitive and confidential papers - Bonded and secure facility – 24 hour closed circuit TV monitoring - Locked office containers for accumulation of documents for pickup - Destruction verification letter provided - We can handle thousands of pounds per day - Large office clean outs - Save on in-house labor and increase your security – We serve businesses and personal customers – Recycling of cardboard, aluminum, and other materials
This project was partially funded by the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity, Bureau of Energy and Recycling.

Each Christmas, the Center creates a special commemorative ornament that has quickly become a favorite item with customers.

GourMutts
The participants at the Center of Hope have been making all-natural dog biscuits for the past two years. The idea to make dog biscuits was developed as an alternative activity project to do when no paid work was available. Some of these biscuits were taken to a craft show that the Center of Hope was participating in and sold out so quickly that a plan was developed to begin a new business to respond to the market demands. Staff soon discovered that the demand for these biscuits was much greater than the supply. Two areas are currently making all-natural dog biscuits each week, and the Center is currently developing a new low-fat dog biscuit option. Hillcrest Animal Hospital was the first animal hospital to support our business by carrying GourMutts Dog Biscuits. For more information on how you can order dog biscuits and be a part of this new and growing business, please visit our web site at www.gourmutts.org contact Diane Kaemmerlen at psondell@b-olsoncenterofhope.org or call her at (815)316-8377.
